Sam Lieberman Quoted in Wall Street Journal Article - U.S. Regulator Says It Has Access to Audit Papers of Chinese Companies
Sam Lieberman – Co-Head of Litigation discusses The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board securing complete access to inspect China-based audit firms with the Wall Street Journal. Lieberman who has represented investors who have suffered losses from Chinese companies that listed on U.S. exchanges, called the agreement a major breakthrough that will better protect investors. “In the past, investors in such companies were much more vulnerable to fraud, because there was not a meaningful U.S. safeguard against Chinese firms’ accounting irregularities,” Mr. Lieberman said.
